Milestones

1972 The company was founded by Mr. Hsieh Chung-tsung and his associates to manufacture a variety of knitwear for export and soon built widespread acclaim.

1977 Purchased the current head office for expanded business operations.

Awarded the Director-General’s Award by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs for outstanding export performance.

1979 Set up R&D Office for further innovation.

Received an award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the best performance in bringing added value to export products.

1986 Purchased land and built the Luzhu Plant

1989 Successively purchased a variety of looms, including water-jet and rapier looms. Completed construction of the Luzhu Plant and formally began to produce a lineup of woven product series.

1990 Began participating in the INTERSTOFF Exhibition Germany, making a significant step towards the ideal of internationalization.

1991 Purchased land for Hsinchu Plant and purchased sixteen false twisters to manufacture processed filament for vertical integration of the industry.

1993 Increased capital by transferring NT$39.6 million of earnings. Increased capital by transferring NT$13.86 million of surplus. Continued to participate in the INTERSTOFF Exhibition Germany, Asian Hong Kong Exhibition, American Home Textiles Sourcing Expo, and Chinese Beijing Exhibition.

1994 Successively purchased 132 looms for Hsinchu Plant to make a total of 323 in response to the growing future prospects of the industry.

1995 Selected as the most stylish boutique in the 73rd INTERSTOFF Textile Exhibition Germany in 1995 as the company made continuous efforts in updates and R&D, increasing the competitiveness of the company’s products in the international market.

1996 Achieved ISO-9001 certification by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection, becoming the first professional woven fabric plant to do so. Also earned the distinction of winning the 5th National Award of Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises.

1997 Officially became a publicly listed company in Taiwan stock exchange market stock 1465 tw in September 1997, establishing a new milestone for the company.

1998 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 500 giants in the manufacturing industry.

2002 Invested in China Dragon Textile Industries (Huizhou) Co., Ltd and Wisher Chemical Fiber (Huizhou) Co., Ltd through Hong Kong and Macau, accomplishing vertical integration of yarn spinning, cloth weaving, dyeing and finishing.

2003 Through capital integration and reduction of operation costs, the Company’s Board of Directors approved the merger and acquired 100% of stocks from the subsidiaries Chuan Wei Investment Co., Ltd. and Wei Cheng Investment Ltd. The base date was designated as April 16. Once the parent company merged with its subsidiaries, the mutually held stocks of each company were written off, reducing the company’s capital to NT$893.394 million. President Chen Chien-chu was granted the honor of becoming the Board Director of the Taiwan Silk and Filament Weaving Association.

2006 President Chen Chien-Chu was granted the honor of becoming the Board Director of the Chinese National Federation of Industries.

2007 Awarded “Accreditation of Operation Headquarters of Enterprises” by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

2008 Purchased 28 water-jet looms for the Luzhu Plant. Purchased four 96-spindle yarn twisters and six 48-spindle yarn twisters for the Hsinchu Plant.

2009 President Chen Chien-chu was re-elected as the Board Director of the Chinese National Federation of Industries.

2010 Awarded “Accreditation of Operation Headquarters of Enterprises” by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

2011 Purchased 28 water-jet looms and 18 air-jet looms to replace old machines in the Luzhu Plant. Selected to participate in the “International Marketing Expansion Project for Filament Fabric” counselling case by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

2012 Selected to participate in the “Wisher Industrial Co. Ltd Supply Chain System ICT Application Project” counselling case by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs

2013 Awarded “Accreditation of Operation Headquarters of Enterprises” by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

2014 Increased capital by transferring NT$172.679 million of earnings. Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants.

2015 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants.

2016 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants. Ranked as the top 36th giant in the man-made textile industry by China Credit Information Service Ltd. Awarded “bluesign” accreditation.

2017 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants. Awarded "ISO 9001:2015" accreditation.

2018 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants. Verified of Higg index. In view of the business strategies and to increase the corporate profitability, approve the resolution on indirect investment in stock from Dragon Textile Industries (Huizhou) Co., Ltd and Wisher Chemical Fiber (Huizhou) Co., Ltd.

2019 Ranked by Commonwealth as the one of the top 1000 giants. Purchased 24 air-jet looms to replace old apparatuses in the Luzhu Plant. Verified of Higg index.

2020 Awarded "Global Recycled Standard (GRS)" certification. Ranked by the largest corporations in Taiwan 2020 as one of the 5000 giants.
